Welcome to this website which is primarily intended to be a resource for assistive technology and related materials that may be of help to professionals working with individuals who have cognitive limitations. These limitations may arise as a result of a brain injury or brain illness, or a psychological disorder, or may simply reflect changes due to aging or the stresses and strains of everyday life.
The resources listed on this website are intended to provide information. They are not a substitute for professional guidance or a clinical consultation. No liability can therefore be accepted for any consequences arising from using items or materials listed on the site.
Any comments on the site are welcome, and should be made using the contact button above.
A list of assistive technology aids for neurological patients described at a July 2019 conference organized by Dr Kapur can be found here
Assistive Technology
Assistive technology resources below are mainly listed in two ways – types of items based on their functional use, and the clinical condition in question. At the end is a listing of more general sites. Note that the more general sites may also include items based on functional use, such as pill reminders.
Try out the new brain training game, Shark Attack, now available on App Store and Google Play developed by Professor Narinder Kapur. It is also one of the first games designed with principles of cognitive neuroscience in mind, with a focus on visuospatial memory.
Most of the resources below are based in the United Kingdom, though a few are based in the USA. You may need to check shipping information before finalising any order for a product.
